An oral tablet for erectile difficulty — same idea as sildenafil but longer-lasting, so its effect can carry over a day or more and timing is less strict. Nothing is prescribed unless a licensed physician determines it is appropriate for you.
Tadalafil is a long-acting PDE5 inhibitor. Like sildenafil it improves blood flow to support an erection when you're aroused, but it stays active much longer, which is why some people prefer it for more spontaneity.
Taken by mouth as your physician directs. Because it lasts longer, it doesn't need to be timed as closely to intimacy as shorter-acting options.
Tell your physician about heart disease, chest pain, low or high blood pressure, recent stroke, liver or kidney problems, or any eye condition. Never combine it with nitrates or certain blood-pressure medicines — bring a full list of everything you take.
